"I was born in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, have resided in Wisconsin since 1990, and have had a lifelong relationship with art. I've been painting for over fifty years, starting in Manistique High School with watercolors. Later I began using acrylics and oil paints, but reverted to watercolor because of the time saved by not having to apply gesso on a Masonite background. Eventually I was hooked on watercolor and grew to love the process of water painting. I sometimes paint my exterior surroundings and sometimes my interior imaginings. Creating art is still quite a challenge and struggle for me and, I believe, always will be."
