"I began iconography as a way to bring spiritual inspiration to my work in mixed media. Both the process and prayer are what have kept me writing icons and have inspired my work no matter what media I use.
Through my journey as an artist, I have come to realize that my abilities are a gift from God and belong to Him alone. Often, I am amazed that I can create some of the artwork I do. That is when I know there is another hand in it. It doesn't matter that a piece of artwork doesn't turn out as well as I would like or that my talent is somewhat less than I would like. What matters is that I do the work. Whether or not God chooses to use my work to inspire others is in His hands. I give it all to Him."
